As a child in the sprawling city of São Paulo, Diana found magic and belonging in the smallest patch of grass or short visits to the ocean. For a while, life’s hardships muted her innate connection to nature, but it returned when she began working with children. Now, she knows it in her bones: she is nature, and nature is her guide and her greatest teacher.
This truth fuels everything she does. Whether she’s designing regenerative learning experiences, teaching in permaculture gardens, or simply walking through the woods, she carries one vision: to cultivate the awareness that we belong to the Earth as much as it belongs to us in children of all ages.
In this talk, Diana shares how nature held her when life tested her with grief and heartbreak, while finding herself alone in a country where she barely spoke the language.
She’ll speak of nature as teacher, healer, and partner in her life and work. And she’ll invite you to remember too: the care we give the Earth is the care we give ourselves. This is a story of belonging: to the land, to each other, and to the wild hearts inside us all.
