CATHLENE BELL

Thursday, March 31st, 8-9.30 pm, zoom

Cathlene’s life has been far from ordinary. She exited a high-control religious group and an abusive marriage, all the while integrating into a new country as a mother of young children.

Whereas her innate creativity used to be put to use for the mission of the religious group she was part of, she gradually learned to embrace it as a tool for self expression and healing.

In this LOVE SESSION, she will share her learnings about how we all can turn painful or scary changes into something beautiful, with a central role for embracing creativity as a tool for resilience.

RECREATE TO THRIVE ANEW. How creativity builds resilience

Cathlene Bell is a Volunteer Manager, Communications Associate and Storyteller in Residence for the Zurich-based refugee and migrant talent incubator Capacity. Born just outside New York City, Cathlene is a lifelong student of the intersection between creativity and social impact.

In addition to obtaining degrees in Communications and Global Peace & Justice Studies, she has contributed to both the nonprofit sector and the world of publishing for over a decade.

Cathlene is passionate about supporting brilliant minds and hearts in telling their own stories of creative resilience. Her forthcoming book, which she describes as “a meditation you can hold in your hands” is entitled She Went Home. She is also a singer-songwriter, painter, upcycler, podcaster and mother to two delightful young feminists.
